Live newscasts, concerts and political rallies often include video backdrops on the stage or set, and feeding these displays requires increased production switcher muscle – That’s where the new Echolab MegaKeyMD comes into play!

Each MegaKeyMD is effectively a “mini M/E,” featuring a two channel video mixer with a powerful clip/key store. With MegaKeyMD, that backdrop can now be switched, mixed and keyed without the need for large and expensive multi M/E production switchers.

Additionally, the large internal store can provide playback of full screen video clips as well as animated key and fill. When directly integrated with our new Overture series of production switchers, the MegaKeyMD enhances the powerful ‘Stinger’ feature by providing animated graphic keys over mix/wipe transitions at the touch of a single button.

MegaKeyMD is simple to operate and uncompressed clips, keys and fills can be quickly downloaded and stored via a standard TCP/IP interface. It can store and play any current video standard, including 1080, 720, 625, and 525 in all common frame rates.

MegaKeyMD modules can be housed in any of our standard 1, 2 or 4 RU frames as well as with our multichannel instant replay device – MultiPlayMD – or with our modular Sync Generators.
